Active Ingredients: Proprietary compound.
Carrier: LDPE
GMS: 20 wt.%
Active Alpha-monoglyceride 10.5 %
Physical Form: White opaque solid pellets.

Technical Data:
Melting Point Greater than 100° C.
Processing: 150° to 210° C.

Recommended Processing Condition:
Foam Extrusion

Fine cell structure
stabilization of the
extruded foam PE using
Azo and/or physical
blowing agents.

Use level is 2 to 10 wt.
% depending on the
application.
*Reduces static buildup on foam parts during and post extrusion.
Benefits:
  • Consistent feed as evidenced by constant screw amp level.
  • Extended shelf life of GMS, due to encapsulation in a hydrophobic proprietary additive.
  • Higher foam cell count per unit volume.
  • Smooth surface of the final foam article.
  • Controlled diffusion rate of the physical blowing agent.
  • Improved physical properties. (e.g. low shrinkage, improved compression strength).
  • GMS flake vs. GMS 2004 master batch: Most significant feature of GMS 2004 over that of any other GMS flake is improved hydrolytic stability. GMS flake , exposed to prolonged high temperatures and humidity, will hydrolyze to glycerin and stearic acid. This results in a reduction of the alpha-monglyceride content.
