Chemical Blowing Agent Concentrates

PolyFoam products are additive masterbatch concentrates containing highly specialized chemical blowing agents. This product was specifically created for the production of microcellular foam structures in a variety of thermoplastic materials. PolyFoam products are available containing endothermic blowing agents, exothermic blowing agents, and as a combination of both.

The product can be used for both extrusion and injection molding processes. When processed at the recommended temperature range, PolyFoam will decompose and create a uniform microcellular structure with a controlled, even dispersion. For injection molding applications, this process will often allow for lower density products and parts, without significantly affecting physical properties. Other benefits include elimination of sink marks, and improved surface quality, typically achieving a fine, smooth surface. For foamed extrusions, PolyFoam can be used in combination with a gas blowing agent to improve the efficiency of the physical agent. Benefits include reduction of gas usage, improved weight reductions, better extrusion efficiencies, and often a reduction in scrap. PolyFoam products are available in a uniform pelletized shape.
