Halogenated Flame Retardant Products

PolyGard products typically contain a halogenated FR system, in conjunction with an antimony oxide synergist, to achieve UL94 fire and smoke regulations. PolyGard can be supplied as an additive masterbatch product, which is then let-down to achieve the final additive levels.

PolyGard 7507N, which was designed specifically for Nylon FR applications, contains a 75% loading of FR additives in a nylon carrier. When blended with Nylon at roughly 25%, (for example, 1 part PolyGard 7507N and 3 parts Nylon), a rating of UL94 V-0 can typically be achieved down to a part thickness of 1.2 mm. Other specialty PolyGard grades can be produced upon request.
