PolyChem Alloy®, Inc., an ISO 9001:2000 registered company, was founded in 1989 at the vision of Dr. Chakra Gupta, a P hD polymer chemist and former research associate at Brown University. The company’s initial vision was to service the Wire & Cable and Packaging industries by utilizing new technologies to develop customized products. From the beginning, the company has instictively strived to provide uncompromising quality products and standards that meet or exceed the expections of the plastics industry.
PolyChem Alloy®, Inc., started out as a sales office in Hickory, NC. Then, in 1994, the company built a manufacturing facility that produced custom compounds and additive masterbatches. Then, in 2000, after several years of successful business development and growth, the company again expanded into new production and administrative facilities in Lenoir, NC.
Over the years, PolyChem Alloy®, Inc. has developed a broad product portfolio, along with extensive compounding expertise. The company has become a global supplier to a wide range of markets in applications like computers and electronics, sports and recreation, telecommunications, office furniture, appliances, and medical devices. Through innovative technology and our obsession for quality assurance, both in our specialty products and our toll compounding, we continue to develop new products and find creative solutions to solving customer needs.
